Beyonce may bring her highly anticipated Renaissance World Tour to Ghana, according to recent reports. The singer will perform her Renaissance album in Europe and North America this summer, but has yet to tour in Africa. Her performance in Dubai earlier this month sparked hope among African fans that the Brown Skin Girl singer may finally make her way to the continent.
According to a source, Beyonce is considering bringing a modified, family-friendly version of her show to Ghana. The shows in Europe and North America will feature “mildly explicit” content, but the performances in Africa will be adjusted accordingly.
Live Nation, the company behind the tour, is eager for Beyonce to spearhead their expansion into new markets, and the source estimates the singer could earn north of $500 million from the tour.
The choreography for the Renaissance Tour will be handled by Ay Hollywood, who has worked with a number of A-list talents, including Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Megan Thee Stallion, and Ciara. If Beyonce does perform in Ghana, she will likely be joined by Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale, with whom she collaborated on the hit track “Already” from The Lion King album.
