Biography


Elom Adablah, professionally known as E.L, is a Ghanaian rapper, record producer, and sound engineer. He grew up in Dansoman, the largest estate in the area, and attended St. Martin De Porres School and Jack and Jill, where he completed his Junior Secondary School level. E.L discovered his passion for music while attending the Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School and later pursued a degree in economics and political science at the University of Ghana, Legon.

E.L began his music career in 2008 when he signed to Jayso’s Skillions Records alongside other notable Ghanaian underground artists. After the Skillions disbanded, E.L became a solo artist and acquired his own studio in Asylum Down. He later relocated to a better studio in Osu and invested all his available funds in acquiring state-of-the-art equipment. E.L has produced hit songs for many elite hip hop, hiplife, and R&B performers, including Sarkodie, D-Black, Reggie Rockstone, and Asem.

In 2012, E.L released his debut double album, “Something Else,” which is a blend of different varieties of music inspired by various sources. He has since released several singles and albums, including “ELOM,” “B.A.R. 3: The Lomi Era,” “B.A.R 4,” and “BVR.” E.L has received numerous awards and nominations throughout his career, including the Hip-hop Song of the Year award and Album of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, as well as the Best Album award at the Ghana Entertainment Awards – USA.
